Terms of Service

1. The service

Adaptive Strength Coach provides personalised strength training programmes that adapt based on your logged performance. Some features require a paid subscription ("Premium").

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. You must be at least 16 years old (or the minimum age in your country for consenting to a fitness/health app) to use the App.

3. Subscriptions and billing

• Premium is offered as an auto-renewing subscription (monthly or annual, as shown at purchase).
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the price you agreed to at purchase.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription any time in your Apple ID or Google Play account settings — we cannot cancel it for you.
• Free trials, where offered, convert automatically to a paid subscription unless cancelled before the trial ends.
• Refunds are handled by Apple or Google according to their respective policies; we cannot issue refunds directly.

4. Health and safety disclaimer

Adaptive Strength Coach is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. The App generates training suggestions based on general exercise science and the information you provide. It is not a substitute for professional medical or physiotherapy advice.

• Consult a doctor before beginning any exercise programme, particularly if you have any pre-existing health condition, injury, or concern.
• You are solely responsible for exercising within your own physical limits and for stopping any exercise that causes pain.
• We are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from your use of the App or from performing exercises it suggests.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the App
• Interfere with the App's operation or attempt unauthorized access to our systems
• Share your account with others in a way that circumvents subscription payment

6. Your content

You retain ownership of the training data and custom exercises you enter into the App. You grant us a licence to store, process, and display that content back to you as part of providing the service, and — solely in de-identified, aggregated form — to improve the App's underlying training logic.

7. Intellectual property

The App, its design, and its underlying training logic are owned by us and protected by intellectual property law. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks, logos, or brand assets.

8. Termination

You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time (see Settings, or the Privacy Policy for the deletion link). We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided "as is." We do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any particular training result (such as strength or muscle gain) will occur — individual results vary based on many factors outside our control, including consistency, nutrition, recovery, and genetics.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above, and for material changes we will make reasonable efforts to notify you in the App.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
